Year 6 to Year 7 Transition

Welcome to the Year 6 Transition page at The Grange Academy. Here, you'll find resources and information to help ease the move from primary to secondary school. We understand that this transition is significant for both students and their parents or carers. Our comprehensive transition programme is designed to make this journey positive and exciting. We aim to provide Year 6 students with a genuine understanding of life at The Grange Academy. Our strong connections with local and regional primary schools ensure a smooth transition, helping new Year 7 students settle in quickly and comfortably.

Year 7 First Day of Term

Wednesday 4 September 2024

This will be your first day at the Grange Academy, there will be activities to help students, including a tour, looking at the school's policies and routines and starting lessons at The Grange. Students should arrive at the front gate by 8:25 am. They will need to be in their full school uniform with their academy bag and items of equipment.

Preparation for the first day

Order uniform including PE uniform.
Ensure your child has all equipment required.
Make sure your child knows how they are going to get to and from school.
