Principal's Message
We are part of the Future Academies Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) and share their high standards of excellence. With the support of our sponsors, we are able to engage with the best teachers, the best universities, and a wide range of prominent employers in the country to ensure that all our children are equipped with the knowledge, aspiration, and respect to obtain Libertas per cultum, ‘freedom through education’.
We create an inclusive environment where we provide high-quality education, enriching experiences, and character development. All stakeholders in the school share three core values:
- Respect: To have a positive attitude towards oneself and one’s community.
- Aspiration: To have concrete and deliberate goals.
- Knowledge: To actively pursue new understanding and skills.
The Grange Academy is honoured to serve this community and privileged to educate its young people. We welcome visits from parents at any time, both prospective and current, and I look forward to meeting you all.

Libertas per Cultum
Our vision, culture, and core values are the multiplier that makes every decision, action, and interaction within the academy more effective. By ensuring that these values translate to actions and ultimately habits, every single student at The Grange Academy will achieve outcomes that will provide them with the freedom to compete with anyone in society, regardless of any challenges that they face. By taking ownership of their actions and understanding that these will determine their future success and create their character as an individual.
Our values and associated actions are outlined in our Home School Agreement.
We take pride in our shared document that outlines how all stakeholders should work.
Knowledge
Knowledge: to actively pursue new understanding and skills.
- We see our mistakes as opportunities to learn and improve.
- We arrive at school ready and equipped to learn.
- We take responsibility for our role in our learning at home and in school.
- We always follow instructions the first time from all members of staff.
- We use S.L.A.N.T, and questions to deepen our knowledge and to improve.
Aspiration
Aspiration: to have concrete and deliberate goals.
- We always go into lessons with a positive attitude and desire to do our best and take pride in our work.
- We always set personal, ambitious goals for our future and are equipped to achieve them.
- We always strive for 100% attendance, and we are on time for school and lessons, every day.
- We always wear our full school uniform with pride.
- We seek opportunities to learn everywhere – at home, through enrichment, within our community.
Respect
Respect: to have a positive attitude towards oneself and one’s community.
- We always conduct ourselves considerately and with good manners in and outside of school.
- We support individuals to be the best version of themselves by giving them support and feedback.
- We use S.T.E.P.S, actively listening to each other and demonstrating empathy for others.
- We value one another for being different, stand up to bullying, and accept, include, and empower everyone in our community.
- We take pride in and show respect for our school environment, local community, and ourselves.
