Uniform Reminder

Whilst high standards of uniform are imperative to any strong educational
provision, it is not the school’s intention for the dress code to repeatedly be the starting point for our interactions with the pupils. As such, the academy has made some adjustments/changes to the uniform policy that are designed to make it more difficult for students to fail regarding expectations and reduce negative interactions around uniform. Key updates:

o Only four branded items are required (Blazer, Tie, School Bag, PE Polo)
o Year-specific ties, with Year 7 students wearing a gold stripe tie and Year 10 a
block navy tie. Eventually each year group will have a unique tie to foster a sense of identity.

Pupils (parents) will have a choice as to whether to wear;
Academy Trousers
 Navy Blue and to be worn at full-length
 Must not be tight-fitting.
 Trousers must be fastened securely around the waist and should not be
‘sagging’
Academy Skirt
 Must be contemporary in style and so is tailored with a structured waistband
 Skirts are ONLY permitted to be worn with black tights (minimum 30 denier)
 Must be worn at an appropriate length (2 inches above the knee)
 Skirts must not be rolled up
 Pupils are permitted to wear plain black/navy socks (ankle) with tights
